Religion and the digital

The symposium takes place in Louvain-la-Neuve, Belgium, on 21 and 22 March 2019, in the campus of the Catholic University of Louvain UCLouvain).

This symposium proposes to think about the current forms of the relation between connected digital practices and religions - or the religious - whatever they are, in the form of a triple interrogation: - what religions do with "the digital" connected, and what do they do to digital connected? - What is connected digital doing to religions? How do religious forms reappear, transfigured and more or less metamorphosed, in digital spaces? - how are religious practices affected, if they are, by the partial digitization of religious production? Through these three interrelated questions, we wish to examine the current reality of digital religious and digital religions.
